Hello, I bid you a warm welcome to my site. My name is Paul, I am 37 years old, married to Claire and I have 3 boys. Formalities over, I would like to explain a little about me.

I am an IT Professional working in the Education Sector. Despite having had to use Microsoft Windows for many years in my previous professional incarnation, I was reborn 3 years ago in front of the Techno Gods, baptised in Linux! I have since been using Ubuntu wherever I can, be it at work, home or anywhere I can spread the word!

For the gift of Ubuntu, I must thank Mattmole. Now I am completely obsessed with Ubuntu and Linux in general! I have even converted my family into using it! And guess what? They love it!

Whilst I may not be as technically advanced as some of my peers, I have a good wealth of knowledge and experience! I have learned to put to one side what I knew about programming, and have started to learn scripting in Python. If I can do it, then so can you!

I fully subscribe to the “Open Source” mentality because it has helped me learn and enjoy so much about technology. So much so, I feel it my duty to help spread the word! The “Open Source Community” has enabled me to practice and develop my skills for which I am eternally grateful. Therefore, I shall do what I can to share the knowledge!

Away from the Tech, I like coaching kids football teams and have done for 20 years! I also really enjoy spending quality time with my Wife, which is a very rare commodity!
